Lieutenant Colin McCarthy

Lieutenant Colin McCarthy is a native of Freehold, NJ. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Villanova University and commissioned through the Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps in 2010.  

After receiving his commission, Lieutenant McCarthy attended flight school in Pensacola, FL where he earned his Naval Aviator Wings in May 2012.

 Following Fleet Replacement Training in the SH-60B Seahawk at Naval Station Mayport, Florida, LT McCarthy reported to the Scorpions of HSL-49 at Naval Air Station North Island. His assignments there included Scheduling Officer, Detachment Four Operations Officer, and the Home guard Division Officer. Lieutenant McCarthy six-year flying career has included two SOUTHPAC deployments aboard Frigates, flying Counter TransnationalOrganized Crime missions in support of Operation Martillo. 

In May 2016, Lieutenant McCarthy reported to Naval ROTC UCLA as an Aviation Officer Instructor. 

LT McCarthy’s awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal and various unit awards.

LT McCarthy is married to Mrs. Cordelia McCarthy. They reside in Los Angeles, California.
